SWISS JOINT-VENTURE WITH WEICHAI POWER
With the rapid development of the fuel cell market, we are now ready to take the steps towards industrialization and series production. As a family business, we know our capabilities, but also our limits. In order to achieve these major goals, we were therefore looking for a partner who could complement us with their expertise in the international large-scale production of precision components according to automotive standards. After a comprehensive evaluation, we are proud to have found the best partner for us in WEICHAI Power. WEICHAI Power is a listed company founded in 2002 which is one of the most comprehensive automobile and equipment manufacturing industry groups in China.
WEICHAI Power acquires shares in FISCHER Fuel Cell Compressor (FFCC) and thus becomes a joint venture partner of FFCC's global headquarters. The Swiss-Chinese collaboration combines forces of Swiss innovation and Chinese operational excellence to become the world's leading manufacturer of fuel cell compressors. We are excited about the strategic partnership, which is based on trust and brings the competencies of both sides equally to the successful product launch. We believe in the long-term success of the hydrogen fuel cell and with FFCC we are making an important contribution to zero emission mobility
FOUNDATION OF A JOINT VENTURE IN CHINA & LOCATION IN SWITZERLAND
FISCHER and WEICHAI Power have also agreed to establish a joint venture in Shandong Province. The new joint venture will be of great importance for the development and production of fuel cell compressors for the Chinese market.
THE MAIN LOCATION IN SWITZERLAND WILL CONTINUE TO MANAGE AND EXPAND THE GLOBAL R&D CENTRE FOR THE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF BEARING TECHNOLOGY AND PRODUCTION ENGINEERING.
With its own production, assembly and sales, FFCC Switzerland covers all competences. In line with the motto "think global - act local", FFCC will also enable the joint venture in China to develop its local products, strengthen marketing and realise local series production.
