«FISCHER FAMILY»: A SWISS MAN FROM SRI LANKA TINKERING WITH A JAPANESE CAR IN EASTERN SWITZERLAND

FISCHER AND THEIR TURBO AIR COMPRESSORS MAY BENEFIT FROM HIS TALENT

He knew how to use a spanner at an early age. Thasiv, the friendly Swiss with the Grisons dialect and of Sri Lankan descent, knew how to take a car apart into its component parts before he could (or at least was allowed to) drive it.

It all started with a Nissan 300ZX, 1991. First just taking it apart, then revising and repairing it. Thasiv spent every spare minute in the workshop. Soon it was no longer just replacing parts. Custom fabricating with add-on parts from his own production were added. Everything had to be approved by the MFK, because it was always important to him to be able to drive his Nissan on the road.

The optical changes did not stop there, with the right software knowledge, it is also possible to get more power out of the engine. Thasiv acquired the chip-tuning skills himself. When nothing more could be got out of the programming, it was necessary to screw in the engine again. Installing a completely different engine, including a self-made wiring harness. How do you get even more power? Exactly, a bigger turbocharger was needed and the result was validated on the race track.

Now FISCHER and the turbo air compressors can benefit from his talent. Thasiv tunes the converter and tickles the last bit of power out of the compressors. Through his work at FISCHER, the petrol in his blood is slowly but steadily being replaced by hydrogen. Who knows, maybe his next car project will revolve around a Toyota Mirai.
